I would have said that Pastrana quit FULL TIME racing because he enjoys FMX better, and he is better at it, therefore why keep doing something your not as good at, and don’t enjoy as much, when he could be doing something better?
He didn’t quit because he got so many injuries. Then he wouldn’t be doing freestyle now… Much bigger risk!
